Here is a partial list of my work as a writer. Some of the titles are linked to copies of the entire piece, free for you to read. Others are linked to excerpts. Where there is no link, it is generally because the piece is unfinished and/or in the process of being submitted for publication.
Short Stories:
- “Memory” – Written for the NPR Three-Minute Fiction contest.
- “The Boy Ran”- Set among the rivers and swamps of Southeast Georgia, a boy runs away from home and an abusive stepfather to a swamp full of mystery and magic where he finds out what is truly important – what he is running towards instead of what he is fleeing.
- “Going in Circles” (Excerpt) - What if the only way you could escape a zombie apocalypse was to live on a subway train?
Novellas and Novels:
- Remnants – ~100,000 words – Completed.
- This Ain’t No Fairy Story – Approximately 85,000 words – Completed and being edited for publication.
Non-Fiction:
- “Magick in the Media: Paganism in Books, Film, and Television” – co-written with Mary Katherine Whitaker – Won Best Student Paper at the Studies in Popular Culture Conference in 2002.
- “Gorram Purple-Bellies: Firefly and the Future of Government by Mega-Corporations”
Poetry:
- “Label Not to be Removed“ (Note: Contains Adult Language and Concepts)

- “The Harvest“
